| This course leads to a Europe-wide recognised qualification in computer skills. To benefit from it you will need to have a knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases up to the standard of Integrated Business Technology Stage 2 or a similar IT qualification. | ||||

The course covers seven skill modules: Basic Concepts of IT; Using the Computer and Managing Files; Word Processing; Spreadsheets; Databases; Presentation; Information and Communication. |

| Qualification | ||||
|
This course leads to ECDL Foundation Certificate of Competence. Students receive an official "Log Book" which is used to record the accreditation for each of the modules successfully completed. ECDL is a European technology certificate for recognised throughout the European Community. |
